When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

Drawing bird is pretty much the same as drawing any animals, all you need to know is their anatomies and how the joints work, then it is just a matter of constructing them (skeletons, muscles, scales, hair or feathers etc...) and watch wildlife documentaries for poses if you need to. You should be drawing thousands and thousands of bird in no time

understanding their forms (anatomy, musculatures, skin, body coverings... etc), learn about how they move about (two legged, four legged, how they shift their weight as they move...)
as for techniques get a beginner's book on painting or drawing would be enough I suppose...
